The Telecommuting Affinity Index

How Do You Compare To The Profile
Of A Successful Telecommuter?

How Do You Evaluate Your Workgroup
To Find The Best Candidates For Telecommuting?

To find out how good a candidate you -- or anyone else -- might be for success in telecommuting has long been a difficult problem. Now it's much easier. All you need do is consider how strongly the individual in question agrees or disagrees with each of the statements in the American Telecommuting Association's new Telecommuting Affinity Index.

Strong agreement with a statement scores 3 points. Strong disagreement scores 0 points. If you're somewhere in between, you score either 1 or 2 points.

After the Telecommuting Affinity Index has been completed, it's easy to to interpret the point score using the enclosed interpretation guidelines.

Note: The new Telecommuting Affinity Index can also become your first step in the American Telecommuting Association's training program. Click on the link below to find out more about how to get the most from telecommuting.

To order one or more copies of the ATA's new Telecommuting Affinity Index (note: managers and supervisors should order one copy for each candidate you intend to test), call, write, or send e-mail to and specify the number of copies you want. The cost is $2.50 each, with a minimum order amount of $10 (price includes shipping and handling, ask about available discounts on purchases of 20 or more copies). Be sure to include your telephone number and mailing address. We'll call you to arrange for payment by credit card or check, and send out your requested copies of the ATA's new Telecommuting Affinity Index within two business days.

If you're on a tight schedule, we can overnight your order to you (there is a $10 extra charge for this "Rush" service).

To become a Member of the ATA, call 1-800-ATA-4-YOU , or e-mail to and let us know you're interested. Include your mailing name, address, and phone, and you'll receive a New Member Application Packet that explains all the advantages and benefits of membership.
